Role
Who you are
- Self-Motivated A confident self-starter with a passion and flair for sales and delivering outstanding customer service
- Strong Communication Skills Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with articulate telephone manner and good grammar and spelling to effectively handle chats and emails
- Telesales Experience Experience in working and performing in a telesales role, preferably within an FCA regulated company, though not essential
- Dynamic Sales Person - Used to fast-paced, high call volume work environment and thrives under pressure
- Adaptability. A quick learner who can easily evolve their approach, figuring out 'what works' and adapting to changing initiatives and products
What the job involves
- Role type: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
- Reporting to: Sales Team Leader, Operations
- Many customers before purchasing home emergency cover wish to talk to a knowledgeable, passionate and friendly representative who can answer all of their pre-purchase questions
- As the first Hometree voice a customer will hear, this role is a critical first step in delivering an industry leading customer experience and ensuring Hometree is a customer’s first choice
- Inbound Sales Handling: Handle inbound telesales contacts via telephone, chat, and email/webform to the highest quality and compliance standards, focusing on converting prospects into Hometree customers
- Support in replacement heating offerings: Support in transitioning existing customers who want or need to replace their boiler into a new boiler or greener option like our Heat Pump or Solar offerings, financed through our finance team
- Market Insight and Analysis: Identify insights from lost sales or customers switching to competitors, highlighting opportunities for product or pricing improvements and refining the sales approach
- Quality and Compliance: Maintain a consistently high standard of quality and compliance while operating within a regulated industry
- Outbound Sales Management: Support managing outbound sales initiatives and campaigns to maximise sales during quieter inbound periods

- Stakeholder Interview: Spend time with our Head of Customer Care & Repairs and Head of Sales to explore alignment and expectations. (1 hr)
Our take
Hometree started off in the business of boiler installations, a huge market in need of a major overhaul. Boilers were typically installed by prominent brands at premium prices or by independent tradesmen who the customer might not trust. Hometree provides a more transparent, convenient and trustworthy service of boiler installation and maintenance.
Having established its presence in the boiler sector, Hometree has expanded into a full range of home services including green energy installations and financing. The company offers a variety of affordable home care plans covering not only boilers, but general heating and home care to help consumers lead a more sustainable life.
Hometree is taking a fresh approach to home cover, avoiding the traditional problems of poor service, complicated pricing, and confusing products. Its approach has won significant funding in an oversubscribed Series B round, coinciding with the acquisition of financing platform BeWarm, solar energy supplier the Little Green Energy Company and renewable energy installers Geowarmth. Off the back of further debt funding, Hometree's plan now is to expand across Europe.
