- Proven Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as a copywriter, preferably in the fintech or crypto industry. A portfolio showcasing a range of written work across various platforms is required
- Crypto Knowledge: Strong understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. Stay updated with the latest trends, news, and developments in the crypto space
- Flawless English language skills: Native speaker or university graduate preferred
- Exceptional Writing Skills: Proficient in crafting engaging, persuasive, and error-free copy. Demonstrated ability to adapt writing style for different target audiences and platforms. Strong grammar and proofreading skills
- Creativity and Innovation: Ability to think creatively and develop unique content ideas. Bring fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to content creation, helping our brand stand out in a competitive market
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving industry. Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and distil them into clear, concise, and compelling content
- Team Player: Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, receive feedback, and incorporate it into content revisions

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a passionate and highly motivated copywriter to take over part of our in-house content and copywriting responsibilities
- You will join our global Marketing and collaborate closely with a variety of people across Bitstamp’s departments and sometimes partner agencies to create on-brand and targeted text for one of the most respected brands in crypto
- Content Creation: Develop compelling and concise copy for various marketing channels, including website copy, blog posts, social media campaigns, email newsletters, advertisements, and landing pages. Maintain a consistent brand voice while adapting to different platforms and target audiences
- Brand Messaging: Collaborate with the marketing team to refine and enhance our brand messaging and positioning. Ensure that our messaging is aligned with our values, unique selling propositions, and target market preferences
- Communication Strategy: Develop a deep understanding of our target audience and tailor messaging accordingly. Write compelling and persuasive content that conveys complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner to both crypto enthusiasts and newcomers
- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content created by other team members and members from other departments to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines. Proofread all written materials to ensure they are error-free
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and product, to understand project requirements and deliver compelling copy that aligns with overall campaign objectives. Collaborate with designers to create engaging visual and written content
- Definite employment contract for one year OR a one-year contractor agreement

Bitstamp was established in 2011 and is the longest continuously running Bitcoin platform, serving over 4 million customers globally.
Bitstamp was acquired by global investment firm NXC in 2017, integrated with Paypal and rehabilitated the assets of fellow legacy bitcoin trader Mt. Gox, which went bankrupt in 2014. All of this exemplifies how Bitstamp, as one of the most mature Bitcoin trading platforms out there, has become a staple of the industry.
Bitstamp is also spearheading the move to address accessibility and trust issues in crypto for those outside of the community. In 2022, Bitstamp set up the Learn Center, a resource centre for those who want to learn about crypto and fintech but haven’t any coding or software development experience. As a legacy player in the field, moves like this will enable Bitstamp to gain more publicity, customers and respect than it already has. A $200 million acquisition by US financial services company Robinhood in 2024 will further bolster Bitstamp's international presence.
