Our take
Heim is reinventing how healthcare is delivered. They believe we are at the cusp of a systemic shift away from hospital-based care toward the home, so they're building the AI-native infrastructure to power this transition. With a mission to expand access to in-person clinical care by empowering nurses with technology that makes home-based delivery more efficient and scalable.
Healthcare systems globally are buckling under administrative friction and inefficient workforce distribution. In the UK and Europe, the "last mile" of care is currently managed via manual spreadsheets and fragmented legacy tools. This "travel tax" on clinical time is the single greatest barrier to sustainable healthcare.
Heim is an infrastructure layer designed to solve the "last mile" complexity of healthcare and have created an AI-native ecosystem that optimises the intricate scheduling and logistics involved in community care. Their core offering is a platform that automates every non-clinical touchpoint - from route optimisation to automated referrals - allowing clinicians to focus entirely on the patient. By applying algorithms to clinical logistics, Heim has shown that the cost of at-home visits can be reduced by around 35%, releasing significant clinical capacity.
