Senior Backend Engineer, EvenUp

• Extensive experience in backend engineering with a strong understanding of distributed systems
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or C++, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, production-quality code
• Proven experience building scalable, reliable backend systems and APIs in high-performance environments
• Experience thriving in startup or high-growth environments
• Strong grasp of modern engineering practices, including test-driven development, code reviews, and deployment pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform

• You'll build and evolve scalable backend systems that power growth initiatives across the platform

• Platform & Framework Ownership: Lead the development of backend frameworks, libraries, and systems that enable experimentation, controlled rollouts, and measurable business impact
• Complex Problem Solving: Collaborate with engineers on challenging backend problems, including data processing, experimentation frameworks, infrastructure, and integrations with large-scale AI/ML systems
