Monte Nido is a healthcare platform that focuses on providing therapy for people living with eating disorders and related mental health issues. Given that around 30 million Americans experience disordered eating in their lifetime, its a sorely needed service - especially considering that eating disorders are considered the US’ second deadliest behavioral health condition.
Although it was founded in 1996, the company's early adoption of virtual services has enabled it to evolve with the sector. Virtual mental healthcare has seen a swell of attention in recent times, as well as an increased uptake amongst the public, which has enabled the company to widen the pool of people it can serve.
Its partnership with, and subsequent acquisition of, Arise (a digital outpatient healthcare company enabling comprehensive care for eating disorders, mental health, and long-term healing) sees Monte Nido further its mission of supporting people through all stages of their healing journey. This showcases that it is committed to expanding the value it delivers to anyone living with disordered eating.
