Role
Who you are
- Degree in financial or numerate discipline, mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science (or relevant equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in the fintech space or related field
- Excellent communication skills across different levels of seniority (being able to understand quantitative issues and explain them to Clients with varying levels of sophistication)
- Attention to detail, ability to work to tight deadlines and comfortable working under own initiative
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment under pressure, multitask and prioritize appropriately
- Strong team player with high sense of responsibility and high motivation to go the extra mile
- Skill in data analytics tools such as Python, SQL or Tableau is a plus
- Knowledge of the following derivatives - IR (swaps, cross-currency swaps), FX (FWD, NDF)
What the job involves
- Being in the driving seat building relationships with reputable clients
- Delivering exceptional services and solving problems that matter
- Finding innovative solutions by collaborating with the best people in the industry
- Contributing to design and implementation of new products from inception to delivery
- Continuous enhancements of existing Products / Services, based on Client needs and competitive landscape
- Work with Engineering team to ensure Product enhancements are delivered to Clients
- Test new operational features to ensure they are ready for production environments
- Set-up all necessary configurations prior to the optimisation
- Assist with data quality analysis of Client trade data – relaying any issues promptly to Clients when required
- Deliver optimisation proposal to Clients and ensure proposal is signed off
- Liaising with senior collaborators and front office within Client organisations to co-ordinate optimisation acceptance
- Assist with any post run processes (e.g. trade booking, regulatory reporting)
- Co-ordinate optimisation sign-up and service growth for new and existing Clients
- Onboarding new Clients to ensure they have a complete grasp of the optimisation process and are ready for a production optimisation
- Explain all aspects of Product / Service to Client (benefits, features, process) – creating presentations and working with Relationship Management team where necessary
- Ongoing explanation of optimisation results to Client (e.g. factors driving the results, how Client can improve results)
- Communicate any issues raised by Strat team during an optimisation to Client in appropriate and timely manner
- Present analysis, result review and Product enhancements/ new initiatives to key collaborators
- Ongoing dialogue with Client to better understand their needs and any issues they have

The London Stock Exchange has lived through a stream of innovations; from telegraph and telephone, to the Market Price Display System, automatic trade matching, and the digitisation of issuer services. In 2019 it acquired Refinitiv, a financial information company, and in doing so became a global financial news and data business.
Most recently, the London Stock Exchange has made moves to support the evolution of private markets, and further build its presence in this space. It partnered with Floww, a platform that connects investors with private companies, with aims to launch a private primary capital raising facility, as well as explore new technologies and secondary market options for the platform.
