Who you are
- The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in leading world-class marketing for technical Saas-based products or commercial open-source
- Strong startup experience, preferably in a technical product
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related program
- Proven success leading the brand messaging & positioning of SaaS company
- Demonstrated track record delivering results against sales and marketing plans
- Experience working with Developer Marketing, DevRel, or Advocacy programs
- Ability to quickly assess and understand customer buyer journeys to improve results and synthesize into meaningful, quantifiable, differentiated messaging
- Solid knowledge of analytics tools
What the job involves
- As StreamNative’s Director of Marketing, you'll be the dynamic driving force behind our marketing strategy
- This high-visibility, fast-paced role will require you to partner cross-functionally with various internal stakeholders, including C-level executives, product, sales, community, and developer advocate teams
- This person will lead a small marketing team and be expected to be extremely hands-on in daily work. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a fast pace, high-growth startup
- Optimize and lead StreamNative’s marketing strategy and execution globally
- Oversee all marketing functions, including demand generation, content creation, brand development, analyst relations, event organization/field marketing, product marketing, and open-source community building
- Work closely with product and sales teams to understand and articulate StreamNative’s value proposition for customers
- Represent StreamNative in various marketing activities by working closely with the Community and Developer Advocate teams, including webinars, events, and community meetups
- Responsible for marketing data, understanding key marketing performance metrics, and tracking tools to provide market research, competitive analysis, and campaign results to translate results for short- and long-term market forecasts and reports
- Lead and coach current marketing members

StreamNative is a real-time data streaming platform that was founded by two of the minds behind Apache Pulsar and Apache BookKeeper. StreamNative offers an event streaming platform based on Apache Pulsar that enables companies to access enterprise data as real-time streams.
Apache Pulsar acts as a real-time, fault-time, highly scalable and unified event streaming platform. It is widely adopted by many companies globally, including internet giants, gaming companies, IoT companies and financial institutes. StreamNative provides Pulsar-as-a-Service that can run either in its own cloud, or that of clients. The company is the lead contributor to the Apache Pulsar open-source project.
StreamNative has taken advantage of the accelerated digital transformation and the widespread migration to cloud computing to secure high-profile customers including Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies. The company continues to improve on its offering, for example with the launch of "Cloud for Kafka" product which integrates Apache Kafka with Pulsar, melding together the utilities of the competing streaming platforms.
