Viber is the fifth biggest messaging service with over a billion users around the world with its largest markets in eastern Europe, south-east Asia and north Africa.
With privacy concerns plaguing many communications apps Viber prides itself on putting the users' privacy and security first. Many other apps access data from private conversations and sell it to advertisers and improve their marketing campaigns. Unlike these apps Viber completely encrypts all private and group communications and never stores delivered messages, so only the users will ever read or hear them.
Since being acquired by Rakuten, Viber has been rollin gout updates for its users on par with top competitors like WhatsApp and Telegram.
