What the job involves
- Float is looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) who brings an owner’s mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and a commitment to excellence
- In this role you won’t be responsible for sourcing your own leads, our team provides you with a curated list of high-quality prospects
- Your mission is to engage those leads, build meaningful conversations, and qualify opportunities for our Account Executives
- Success here comes down to grit, hustle, and consistently hitting high dialing quotas
- You’ll play a pivotal role in driving pipeline growth and brand awareness at one of Canada’s fastest-growing fintech companies!
- High-Volume Outreach & Qualification: Execute and manage outreach to a provided list of Canadian companies. Maintain a rigorous dialing cadence, making 100+ calls per day, to qualify leads and drive pipeline growth
- Multi-Channel Engagement: Convey Float’s value through personalized emails, social outreach, and timely follow-ups that keep momentum going
- Relationship Building: Develop rapport with key stakeholders by understanding their business challenges and positioning Float as the ideal solution
- Pipeline Management: Log every interaction accurately, track lead statuses, and maintain a healthy, organized pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Collaboration with Sales: Partner closely with Account Executives to schedule and prepare for discovery and demo calls, ensuring a frictionless hand-off
- Process Improvement: Lean on your “always-be-testing” mentality to refine cadences, messaging, and tactics, with an eye toward improving conversion rates
- Voice of the Customer: Capture and share feedback, objections, and success stories internally so we can continuously enhance our product and go-to-market approach
Our take
Traditional finance and internal expense processes are inefficient for companies. Spending on personal credit cards and filing receipts for reimbursement is a convoluted and complicated business practise. There needs to be a digital alternative to the historically laborious process of managing employee expenses.
Float is a fintech solution, built to simplify the inefficient internal expense processes. Rather than following the traditional method of spending on personal/corporate cards, filing expenses, and waiting for reimbursement - Float works by utilising technology that enables managers to allocate funds and approve expenses before purchases are made. The company also supports companies operating with remote workforces.
As the business world moves to become more international, companies will look to make their business spending as simple as possible. Float aims to develop its technology and cater to the challenge of company spending. It's $50 million C in credit financing will go some way to achieving its aims, all whilst expanding its business significantly.
