Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience, with a focus on business partnering
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP certifications or equivalent experience
- Deep knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations (including CA state laws)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing or engineering
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong data analysis skills for developing and implementing HR programs
- Familiarity with HR analytics tools
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution

- Work closely with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives
- Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for internal teams, leaders, and employees
- Drive positive collaboration, communication, and business outcomes
- Partner with the recruitment team to develop workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies aligned with business needs
- Develop and implement targeted training programs to enhance skills and support career progression
- Provide strategic oversight for performance management and career development initiatives
- Lead initiatives to build a positive company culture and enhance employee engagement
- Resolve complex employee relations issues through conflict resolution and investigations
- Develop, continuously improve, and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures to meet evolving business needs and regulatory requirements
- Partner with the team to design and deliver compliance training programs, including harassment prevention, ethics, and other regulatory requirements
- Oversee HR administration and documentation
- Stay current with regulatory changes and evolving trends in HR and employment law
- Leverage HR metrics and analytics to identify trends and inform decision-making
- Assess team health and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders
- Develop and improve reporting capabilities for greater transparency

To empower critical space missions, Turion Space builds and operates DROID Satellites that its clients can control through the company's operating system (known as Starfire).
The idea behind Turion's approach is to simplify satellite operations by making them non-configurable, instead handling day-to-day operations itself. In this way, the company helps its clients to eliminate friction between platform and bus suppliers, which can hinder the potential of missions.
To support the expansion of its operations, which include non-earth imaging, space debris removal and satellite servicing, the company has raised strategic funding. This positions it well to move towards its goal of producing 45 satellites annually by 2027.
