Who you are
- You have a strong background with 4 to 6 years of experience in tax compliance at a large scale
- Proven track record of implementing and developing processes around compliance at scale

What the job involves
- We’re looking for an indirect tax team member who cares about working with customers on simplifying complex problems and building and scaling great processes
- In this role, you will help execute and automate tax compliance for the fastest-growing segment of the economy
- Lead the US sales compliance process from end to end for our customers, including:
- Developing and enhancing processes to execute filings at a large scale
- Owning the tax filing automation process from a tax perspective
- Owning the tax data rules and requirements
- Collaborate with engineering teams on the automation of filings and payments
- Monitor and track the latest US sales tax legislation and developments across the US and support tax technical analyses as needed
- Engage closely with customers and prospects to help navigate tax compliance and Anrok’s platform
- Work closely with Anrok’s Legal, Finance, and Tax (LFT) and Engineering teams to continue to develop and build out Anrok’s tax platform
Our take
Software is becoming an increasingly taxable enterprise, in increasingly nuanced and jurisdiction-specific ways thanks to new rulings in the late 2010s. SaaS companies need to keep track of both their physical and economic nexuses, leaving many companies scrambling to stay compliant. Anrok has developed a simple API-based solution to help companies get there.
Anrok's no-code, out-of-the-box tool helps businesses easily calculate sales tax monitoring, calculation, and remittance wherever their product is used, and easily identify new exposures. It’s a simple solution to a complex problem, and the result for Anrok has been impressive funding and strong growth in the short few years it’s been in operation.
This will in part be thanks to the company’s astute pricing model: much like SaaS businesses themselves, it’s based on demand. This makes it scalable enough to encompass both smaller and enterprise SaaS clients. This, in turn, means Anrok’s addressable market within the SaaS sector is substantial. And that’s a sector that in itself is continuing to see remarkable growth. All this makes it a promising, and as of yet fairly unchallenged, position that Anrok is carving out.
