Who you are
- Is a self-starter and is skilled in identifying issues and developing solutions
- Proficiency in Figma and Figjam
- Communication skills presenting designs and articulating design decisions
- Proficiency in prototyping
- Has a passion for healthcare and is inquisitive about the various ways we can improve the delivery of health and care
- Is able to dedicate 40-hours a week for a duration of 12 weeks

What the job involves
- Work on projects that impact the business and contribute to Transcarent’s mission of better health and care, specifically in the growth and engagement space
- Learn how to use a design system to design and validate new experiences via mockups, wireframes, flow diagrams, sketches, and other UX artifacts for our cloud-based applications
- Gain exposure to collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers to create delightful, effortless experiences for our users
- Be exposed to how our Product, Design, and Engineering Team operates
- You'll have a formal mentor on your team guiding you throughout your internship period

- We're excited to offer a hands-on internship experience designed to give you real-world exposure and meaningful work from day one
- Our summer program runs May 26 – August 14, giving you a structured, full-season experience alongside talented teams across the business
Our take
More than 60% of US workers who receive health insurance are enrolled into an employer-funded/managed self-insured plan. While such plans can reduce premiums for employers, this typically comes at the cost of quality, and can create more friction than self-insuring through a traditional insurance company.
Transcarent has built a unified digital platform that allows insured patients to access several different healthcare services via a single tool - including consultations, ordering and renewing medications, and chatting with medical practitioners. Speed is a key cornerstone of its approach: so far, the company has been able to connect patients with practitioners in 60 seconds on average.
The business has grown steadily, merging with BridgeHealth and more recently with Accolade. It has also acquired 98point6 and partnered with big businesses such as Walmart. Now a healthcare Unicorn, Transcarent serves over 20 million members and more than 1,700 employer and health plan clients.
