Who you are

- Brains and a Degree: You've got a Bachelor's Degree (or above) in Computer Science or similar discipline
- Code Like a Pro: You're proficient in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, TypeScript, or anything else that makes computers do cool stuff)
- Experience Level: Boss: You've got 4-6 years of solid software engineering experience under your belt. If you've worked in a growth-focused team before, we'll consider that extra brownie points
- Talk the Talk: Your communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills are so sharp, they could cut through red tape. You can deliver results even when the clock's ticking

What the job involves
- As our Application Support Engineer you will work alongside our CTO and CPO to build best in class support processes
- You will be the first dedicated hire in this position so we’re looking for a subject matter expert we can build around
- We have a customer-first mindset and this carries through internally and externally so we’re looking for someone who can create seamless user experiences, rapid response times and can build great architecture
- You’ll need to quickly get up to speed and see the big picture
- Architecting Awesome: Be the mastermind behind the design and implementation of cutting-edge product features that make our clients go, "Wow, that's cool!"
- As we grow the function, you’ll be involved in hiring, mentoring, and nurturing a culture that’s collaborative, ambitious, and laser-focused on results
- Decode the Matrix: Take complex systems and features, sprinkle a little communication magic, and collaborate with the team to drive our product roadmap forward. Who knew tech could be this fun?
- Workflow Wizardry: Wave your magic wand (or just use your brains and skills) to influence best practices that make our team’s workflow smoother than a hot knife through butter

Businesses in the drinks industry encounter unique challenges, such as significant liquidity constraints (with funds tied up in stock and lengthy payment terms), an outdated and complex supply chain, and a highly regulated global market that creates friction and barriers to international sales. Ferovinum has developed an end-to-end digital platform that empowers businesses to fund, produce, procure, and sell in global wine and spirits markets.
The producers of spirits and wines are generally small to medium-sized businesses, and Ferovinum’s pitch is that its technology, which provides working capital and supply chain automation tools, will benefit from this rocket-boosted tech. It offers a comprehensive suite of foundational services, including capital funding, supply chain automation, international logistics, and access to global trade channels. The company’s founders certainly have experience in financial management, one having overseen structured commodity financing at the Macquarie Group and the other having a history of executive directing restructuring for investment banks.
With production and distribution tools at its disposal, Ferovinum offers predictive inventory management, seamless integration, and international logistics. Its one-size-fits-all technology has already benefitted some of the oldest scotch whiskey distilleries in Scotland on a pilot scheme, funded by a £100 million investment in Ferovinum in 2021. Though still in its early days, the company seems set to attract more clients as its technology evolves.
