Who you are
- 5+ years experience working for either a platform or in talent management, PR or partner program management
- Experience using Snapchat
- Experience leveraging rolodex of industry and creator contacts
- Fluent in English is a must

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Canada Creator Partnerships Lead to join our Creator team! As a member of the Creator team, you will mainly help oversee relationships with celebrities and content creators based in the Canada region, and also help our larger content organization hone its editorial perspective for localized content
- Often you will be in the field, inspiring and motivating creators, and helping them to understand Snapchat in ways that help unlock their creativity. Working from our Toronto office, you’ll collaborate with the US based Creator Partnerships & Editorial team, as well as the Canada based sales team
- Build strategy, outreach and onboarding efforts with creators to develop innovative and high impact partnerships
- Work with creators and influencers to help them execute projects that make use of Snapchat in creative ways during the biggest moments in their lives
- Serve as an internal advocate within Snapchat for partners, including working with Sales and Product teams
- Define best practices, articulate and identify unique Snapchat differentiators to the creator community
- Track, analyze and communicate quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partners
- Serve as a spokesperson for Snapchat
- Contribute to Snapchat’s editorial perspective in current events around entertainment, music, sports, lifestyle, and fashion
Our take
Snap is the social media giant that owns Snapchat, a social media mobile app released in 2011. Created to serve as a more emotive communication form than texting, the app has gained mass popularity, reaching upwards of 400 million daily users worldwide.
After rejecting a billion dollar acquisition from Meta (then Facebook) in 2013, Snap has found itself in competition with the social media giant, particularly with Instagram. Despite this, the company has marked a place for itself in the ever competitive social media space through developing features like a Discover tab, augmented reality lenses, in-app games, ads and monetisation options, as well as launching its paid service, Snapchat+.
Snap has so far not earned an annual profit since going public in 2017, but as Snapchat's user base has continually increased it has nearly closed the gap. Like other tech companies it suffered in late 2022 due to a surprise drop in advertising revenue, but has been rebuilding to its former trajectory since then. Given Snapchat's lasting popularity amongst young people, further success appears likely.
