- 6-8 years of experience in Marketing Operations or a related function
- Hands-on experience with project and workflow tools like Asana, Airtable, and/or Jira
- Strong understanding of CRM, lifecycle, or paid acquisition marketing workflows
- A track record of improving systems, increasing speed-to-launch, and building scalable processes from the ground up
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; able to influence teams and drive alignment without formal authority
- Ability to stay focused, steady, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment
- Bonus: Experience managing agencies or marketing vendors
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Growth Marketing, Operations to lead the systems, tools, and processes that power Strava’s Growth Marketing organization. This role supports the Acquisition, Retention, and MarTech teams—bringing structure, clarity, and executional excellence to high-impact marketing work
- This person will own key operational workflows, streamline cross-functional collaboration, and accelerate time-to-launch for our campaigns and experiments. If you're excited by the opportunity to build, scale, and simplify how great work gets done, we’d love to meet you
- Lead the end-to-end marketing operations workflow for Growth Marketing, including sprint planning, prioritization, and project execution
- Build and refine scalable systems and tools (Asana, Airtable, etc.) to increase visibility, reduce manual work, and improve collaboration across teams
- Act as a key cross-functional partner to Product, Brand, Creative, and Data, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery of marketing initiatives
- Optimize campaign timelines and experimentation cycles, helping the team move faster without sacrificing quality or accuracy
- Oversee vendor relationships and support operational needs related to agency onboarding, management, and integration
- Help establish self-serve, automated workflows and process documentation to drive efficiency and empower internal partners
Our take
Strava has created an online network where runners, swimmers and cyclists can record fitness activities, and compare and compete with their community. It offers both a free and premium subscription service with added features. The company also partners with local councils and urban planners who purchase valuable journey data from Strava which can be used to map out cities and develop safer cycle paths.
The platform helps members discover and plan workouts, as well as offering a leaderboard which is updated using GPS as users compete for the top spot on particular fitness segments.
With over 125 million athletes and growing, Strava released several new product rollouts in 2024, including an AI-enabled leaderboard. A partnership with the wearable fitness tracker Oura will mean Strava software is available on wearables, taking Strava into fresh competition with the likes of Peloton and Apple.
