Role
Who you are
- Strong embedded software development and architecture skills with emphasis on Linux/Android and/or trustzone-based security
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with software and hardware teams
- BS in a technical field such as computer science or computer engineering or equivalent years of experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Strong C/C++ skills
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Linux and OS level security including but not limited to SeLinux, DmVerity and authentication
Desirable
- Advanced degree in a technical field
- Experience with Rust, Java, Kotlin
- Experience with Isolation, Trust zone authentication, Verity, Secure File system, secure memory and buffer management, Linux Security (SeLinux), Verity, root of trust, key generation, Key management, secure cloud, Biometrics, Cryptography, and/or HW/SW threat
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Security Engineer to join the OS team at Snap Inc!
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders and to enhance device security and user privacy
- Design and build security solutions to facilitate secure manufacturing of Spectacles
- Research, design and develop cutting edge security features to enhance the security posture for Spectacles
- Improve infrastructure for fuzzing and automate security validation

Advertising revenue remains periodic and macro-factors still pose headwinds, yet Snaps enduring popularity and its expanding product mix suggest that further success appears likely.
