Who you are

8+ years experience
Experience working as a senior engineer on projects designing and developing solutions in the EtLT space
You have extensive experience with Java and/or Python, with an advanced understanding of object-oriented programming, software complexity, and writing efficient secure code
Experience with distributed databases, especially NoSQL
Experience with two or more of the following: Snowflake, Apache Kafka, Amazon Redshift, AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, Microsoft Azure, Salesforce
Experience with Machine Learning and Statistical analysis is a plus
Experience with front-end development is a plus
You absolutely understand the importance of testing, tooling, and debugging to ensure market-leading code quality required for successful enterprise products and maintenance
You have a customer-centric view of products and processes
API first design approach

What the job involves

We seek an exceptional, self-motivated and seasoned engineer who can join the Snaplogic snap and data team and be the critical player in building frameworks and services that connect data across different enterprise applications and databases running in production systems
You are a Principal Software Engineer who enjoys designing, developing, and maintaining modular, scalable, and performant data management solutions that meet a variety of integration and business use cases across many customers from different industries
Overall you take a deep sense of ownership, accountability, and pride
Develop data ingestion and transformation solutions optimized for performance scalability and efficiency
You have a good understanding of open-source and third-party data technologies
Ensure solution design and architecture meets snaplogic and customer security and regulatory requirements
Build and design applications such that the cost of change is minimum
We envision building frameworks that will scale code generation
Build Microservices based architecture that can scale vertically and horizontally
Cycle between projects in weeks rather than years – continually learning about technologies, protocols and products

Our take

The rise in the use of cloud software suggests room for innovation in enterprise technology. However, companies continue to use legacy software and architectures, reluctant to update their systems due to associated costs and complexity.

SnapLogic builds integration platforms for enterprises that allow for the parallel usage of both legacy and cloud apps. This prevents full migration being a necessity, and allows enterprises to monitor and connect both legacy and cloud technologies together to optimise their systems.

The startup currently provides solutions for around 750 enterprises, including Adobe, AstraZeneca, pwc and Sony. Investment from Sixth Street Growth, bringing the company to a valuation of over $1B in 2021, has accelerated international expansion and widened the number of partnered enterprises. The latter has included decisions intelligence leader Stemly, which has leveraged SnapLogic's no/low code data platform to enhance its own machine learning.
