Experience in product testing, preferably in an automotive or autonomous vehicle context
Strong understanding of testing methodologies and practices
Proficient in data collection, analysis, and interpretation

What the job involves

As a Vehicle Test Engineer at Oxa, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and validation of our autonomous vehicle systems
As a Vehicle Test Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting various tests and experiments to evaluate the performance and safety of our autonomous vehicle systems
Your main focus will be on test execution, data collection, and analysis, working closely with the development team to identify issues and propose improvements

Our take

Oxa, previously known as Oxbotica, is building what it calls “universal autonomy” — flexible technology that it says can power the navigation, perception, user interfaces, fleet management, and other features needed to run self-driving vehicles in multiple environments, regardless of the hardware being used.

With the wide range of applications for its technology, Oxa is able to target multiple industries; from passenger transportation, to goods delivery, to mining. It works with an array of different businesses including online grocer Ocado, which uses Oxa for vehicles within and around its packing warehouses, and shuttle service ZF with which it is developing a Level 4 self-driving system.

Autonomous vehicles have the potential to slash logistics costs for many logistically intensive off-road businesses, which means Oxa has been smart to target such a wide spread of vehicles with its tech. On top of this, it stands to play a key role in the much-anticipated advent of self-driving cars, making it one to watch as the growth of the autonomous vehicle industry accelerates.
