Company mission

Monarch's mission is to elevate farming practices to enable clean, efficient, and economically viable solutions for today’s farmers and the generations of farmers to come.

Our take

The agriculture industry is coming under increasing pressure to become more sustainable and reduce its carbon emissions, while continuing to face problems like falling profits, labor shortages, and worker safety.

Monarch is a company that aims to tackle many of the issues facing farmers, with an electric driver-optional tractor solution that combines automation, machine learning, and data analysis. The result? Reduced emissions, lower overheads, and greater productivity.

While still in the early stages, Monarch has secured hundreds of farms as customers, with the first deployment of its pilot series appropriately rolling out on Earth Day in April 2021. With more than 570 million farms in the world, Monarch may not be short of potential customers, although the company is not alone in its offering, with Bear Flag Robotics currently developing its own automated tractors.
