What the job involves
- The Senior Manager – Technology Risk will play a key role in ensuring that Chetwood has fit-for-purpose systems and processes in place to manage across the technology estate and operate an efficient and fit for purpose control framework
- They will be a trusted advisor to the business with particular expertise in cyber security standards and cloud technology risks
- The main objective of the role is to provide advice and guidance to the firm’s technology function in the management of cyber and other technology risks faced by a bank with both in-house operated, cloud based, systems and infrastructure as well as a range of third party service integrations
- The role holder will undertake testing and assurance activities to establish the effectiveness of key controls and will report on findings to Executive and Board committees
- Provide technical advice and guidance to the business on appropriate regulation and industry guidance including NIST and ISO27001
- Develop, review and improve policies, procedures, systems and controls within the Risk function to ensure that there is a fit-for-purpose framework to identify, monitor, manage and report on the technology risk and control environment at the bank
- From-time-to-time undertake assurance reviews/testing to independently establish the effectiveness of key controls
- Monitor developments in the industry including emerging threats, technology developments and changes to regulation and best practice guides
- Provide regular reporting to ExCo and Board committees on the status of the risk and control environment as regards technology risk
- Act as a leader in the Risk team and a role model for risk management practice and culture across the business
