- Ability to work under pressure and perform several tasks concurrently in a deadline driven environment
- Thorough understanding of professional accounting principles, methods, and procedures
- Capability to analyze budgetary expenditures for compliance with relevant policies and procedures
- Aptitude for developing or refining complex accounting procedures, methods, or techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English and Mandarin
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
What the job involves
- We are looking for a determined bilingual Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks.
- The goal for the position is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition
- The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced office environment
- Manage end-to-end accounts receivable cycle, including customer billing, collections, cash application, and account reconciliations to ensure timely payments and accurate financial reporting
- Investigate and resolve payment issues while maintaining effective communication with internal teams and customers to support cash flow management
- Calculate and report applicable taxes, ensuring compliance with relevant payment and filing regulations
- Prepare and reconcile monthly report and commission report in coordination with sales operations and finance team
- Manage month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing variances
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and local accounting standards
- Prepare monthly management reports and support financial analysis for business reviews, ad hoc requests, and interdepartmental projects
- Participate in financial review meetings and conduct variance follow-ups to support data-driven decision-making
- Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures
- Provide technical accounting support and guidance to departments on revenue and expenditure classification
- Identify opportunities to improve data integrity, accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and system efficiencies
- Recommend enhancements to account structures, auditing procedures, and automation tools
- Support special projects and strategic finance initiatives as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial operations and reporting
- Support ad hoc initiatives and collaborate with various teams to address evolving operational needs
