Backend Engineer, Sophie Datagen

• 3–4 years’ backend development experience
• Strong skills in Java or Rust and Python
• Experience working with APIs and enterprise integrations
• Some exposure to cloud deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Strong communication and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to work from our UK office 3+ days/week

Desirable

• Build and maintain performant backend services (Java or Rust, Python)
• Contribute to platform improvements including latency reduction, memory optimization, and system scaling
• Help implement monitoring tools and platform performance metrics
• Integrate SOPHIE’s platform with customer systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with product, data, and AI teams
