Who you are

5+ years of software development experience
Direct experience of mentoring junior engineers
Strong, proactive communication skills, with a deep preference for teamwork
Experience in independent project management of complex problem solving
Tech-agnostic engineer, with competence in a major programming language (experience in functional programming languages is preferred)

What the job involves

As the Lead Software Engineer at Tallarium, you will play a pivotal role in driving our success.
Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, you will support the management, development, and growth of our engineering team, working on greenfield projects and elevating existing features to an enterprise-grade level.
Your responsibilities will include mentoring and project managing junior team members, delivering exceptional individual contributions to solve complex problems, taking full ownership of the delivery of large-scale projects, proactively driving a strong engineering culture within the team, and supporting the CTO in architectural decisions
Helping to drive brilliant delivery across the engineering team, mentoring junior team members, and building a strong engineering culture
Proving your own skills with your team-leading individual contribution, working on complex problems
Full, independent ownership over the delivery of greenfield projects, including project managing junior team members
Driving proactive problem-solving across the engineering team and their projects
Supporting the CTO in architectural decision-making
