Who you are

You would have an understanding of the following: Python, FastAPI, geopandas, RESTful design principles, and SQL. Full stack experience is also welcomed, particularly within the React framework
An appreciation of basic design & UX principles
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development or other related discipline
Good understanding of database principles and data structures
Experience using Git and an understanding of branching strategies
Experience using SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL

Desirable

Experience using GIS data would be beneficial – PostGIS, QGIS, GeoPanda
Knowledge of Azure SaaS, PaaS &/or IaaS would also be advantageous
Understanding of Business Intelligence, dashboard and reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau,Qlik, Looker or Logi Analytics would be advantageous

What the job involves

Working alongside data managers and analysts, the successful applicant will be using FastAPI to design, develop and deploy bespoke applications to meet internal and external client reporting needs alongside a Front End developer
Designing data models to hold application data
Building FastAPI endpoints to perform CRUD operations on this model
Working with the clients for the applications to understand requirements and ensure solutions are fit for purpose
Building ETL pipelines to import bulk and historic data into the data model
Integrating with other Savills data and tooling
Documenting their work thoroughly and clearly
Working with the Wider I&D team to share best practice and learn new techniques
