What the job involves
- You’ll be working on Kaluza’s Energy Retail platform. This is a SaaS technology platform that aims to revolutionise the operating platforms for energy retailers globally. This platform has been built with scale and technical quality in mind and is the foundation for decarbonisation efforts by Kaluza’s customers
- You will be fully embedded in the Payments & Credit team, which is integral to delivering core Payments functionality to our Australia clients, and beyond
- We are responsible for building new systems to support global Payments solutions, needed to support precise, exceptional and compliant customer & retailer experiences through the payment lifecycle
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to your team to ensure they can ship features quickly while ensuring quality and platform stability is kept to a high standard
- Working closely with the engineering manager and product manager to help shape the future of the Payment products
- Writing code (when needed) to help the team meet their delivery goals
- Reviewing code from your colleagues
- Creating and delivering against the technical strategy for your team in partnership with the engineering manager
- Promoting engineering and delivery best practices within the team
- Championing progressive architecture and reviewing design solutions with other engineering leaders
- Working within a team of other senior leaders responsible for designing and evolving the architecture for the Payments & Credit value stream and wider Core Platform

Its program relating to electric car charging, for example, will be able to capitalise on huge new demand in that sector - over 100,000 electric cars are already on the roads in the UK, and Bloomberg New Energy Finance has predicted that electric cars will account for over 50% of new global car sales by 2040. As the globe moves further towards sustainable use of energy in the coming years, Kaluza could be very well positioned to capitalise.
