Who you are

5+ years of software engineering experience
Strong coding ability in Python (for backend-focused candidates) or JavaScript/TypeScript (for UI-focused candidates)
Experience with automated test frameworks such as Pytest, Playwright, Cucumber, Selenium, or similar
Familiarity with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar)
Experience writing testable code and contributing to test-driven environments
Comfort working in a fast-paced, startup environment with distributed teams

Desirable

Experience testing medical or regulated software systems

What the job involves

We're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer focused on Test Automation to drive quality across our platform
You’ll play a critical role in improving test coverage, preventing regressions, and increasing release confidence—helping ensure we deliver a reliable experience to every doctor, every time
Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for backend APIs and services (Python) or web browser UIs (JavaScript with Playwright/Cucumber)
Embed tests into our CI/CD pipelines to catch regressions before they reach production
Work closely with product managers, engineering, and QA to implement shift-left testing strategies
Prioritize and expand test coverage in high-risk and high-impact areas
Support release validation through automation, helping reduce manual QA effort
Champion quality as a first-class concern across engineering

Our take

Radiology and medical imaging - which accounts for a massive amount of all medical data - has been relying on legacy technology for decades. Fragmented software and applications are essentially piled on top of each other, without clear integration. Sirona intends to revolutionize tech for radiology, with its all-in-one, AI-enabled OS platform.

It boasts everything a radiologist needs in one place - such as a worklist, viewer, reporter and PACS archive - as well as being cloud-based and having AI integration for quicker measurements enabling quicker diagnosis. The effect of these features, and more, is that users can optimize their workflow from beginning to end.

The company has attracted positive attention, and within three years of launch managed to claim 3% of the US market. AI-assisted radiology has been talked about for a while, and has never quite caught on, but Sirona’s model could well be the answer. Industry support is clear, with impressive funds raised. It has also partnered with the world’s largest multinational teleradiology provider, which will see Sirona's tech used for millions of patients across 6 continents.
