- We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Finance Senior Financial Analyst who will be a key player in, and is truly excited about, driving and effectively scaling Okta's growth
- The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail without losing the big picture, and the ability to work both cross functionally and independently. They are highly organized, and are truly excited about financial analysis and insights, driving scale and automation, process improvements, and propelling an organization forward
- Able and willing to come into the office as needed, once a week or more
- 3+ years of experience in FP&A
- Excellent financial modeling and analysis skills
- Advanced Excel/GSheets and PowerPoint/GSlides skills
- Anaplan and Tableau experience is a plus
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision
- Ability to challenge the status quo and bring forth new ways of thinking
- Experience in a global high tech/software/SaaS organization is a plus
What the job involves
- This role will report into the Finance Director - G&A and International FP&A, and is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who wants to be part of a dynamic FP&A organization that is operating at an accelerated pace and scaling for the future
- Be a strategic finance partner to Legal and Finance Leadership, and their respective organizations
- Own the budgeting and forecasting processes for these functions, including:
- Partnering with business to ensure accuracy for spend, headcount and other key metrics based on operational performance
- Maintain and improve detailed financial models that track and analyze functional costs and their impact cross-functionally and on the company’s overall performance
- Preparing budget vs. actual variance analysis and other relevant reporting
- Leading thoughtful analysis, evaluating key drivers and metrics, and partnering on driving operational efficiencies
- Collaborating with the controllership organization on accruals and other elements of the close process
- Evolving these processes as needed
- Participate in the company’s long-range strategic planning as applicable
- Assist with and manage frequent ad hoc / strategic projects to support senior management and business decisions
- Lead process and systems improvement and scaling projects for your area and partner on cross-functional teams, to drive the company’s continued growth and scaling

Okta started off as an identity company where organisations, large and small, could tap into the company to have a single sign-on interface to access all cloud applications now centralised. Okta has since expanded to provide identity management at the device as well as the server level.
The new approach towards network security is increasingly based on identification and authentication, and Okta is on track to become the go-to vendor in the space. They aim to do so by developing products that enable people to access applications and other tools more smoothly and securely than ever before.
Okta has taken strides towards expansion through significant employee growth and shuffling executive leadership. The company has also made lateral moves such as tackling governance concerns, opening up new paths for revenue.
