Who you are
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field of study, plus three (3) years of experience with Python; Javascript; Typescript; Design Principles, Algorithms and Data Structures; Cloud Providers including Azure; and Development Tools, including Github, Circle CI, and VSCode
What the job involves
- Extend data retrieval by writing software to programmatically retrieve data from third-party Application Program Interface (API)
- Write code to enable transfer of order data between systems with multiple interfaces
- Utilize Python and Typescript programming languages to integrate against Artificial Intelligence (AI) services provided by the internal Data Science team to create web applications backed by Postgres DB and RabbitMQ
- Leverage domains, including Title Insurance Underwriting, Title and Escrow Document Processing, Data Management, Workflow Orchestration, and Title and Escrow Customer Communication
- Write code to ensure appropriate automated testing
- Integrate testing into the Continuous Integration and Deployment toolset to enable consistent and reliable feature deployment
- Submit code for review and adjust the code in accordance with feedback and participate in the peer review process
- Develop new features and enhancements to improve maintainability, scalability, and performance of the codebase

Our take
Closing real estate deals is a process fraught with delays and complications. To date, however, the real estate market has been slow to take advantage of the kind of tech innovations that have transformed finance and retail. Doma is one of an increasing number of startups looking to make a change. Previously known as States Title, Doma’s machine learning technology is designed to make every aspect of closing and escrow quick and simple.
Doma is delivering on its ambition, too. Its technology can reportedly shrink title processing time from five days to one minute, and mortgage processing from fifty days to fewer than seven. This game-changing efficiency continues to win the company some of the country’s largest mortgage lenders as clients, giving Doma strong ballast as it expands into new areas like home warranties and appraisals.
The company went public in 2021, and whilst it was a deal valued at $3B, Doma saw a significant decline in its valuation. This resulted in its reprivatisation in 2024, when the leading title insurance underwriting company, Title Resources Group, acquired it.
