Who you are

Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or two (2) years of experience in the job offered
OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or five (5) years of experience in the job offered
A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field))
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Object Oriented Programming (C++); (2) Bigdata Technologies (EMR); (3) Experience working with database relational and no-sql; (4) Event Driven Pipelines using Kafka; (5) Kubernetes platform development; (6) Scripting with Bash; (7) Infrastructure Automation; (8) Containerized Environment development; (9) CI/CD; and (10) Security
Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable
Education, experience and criminal background checks will be conducted

What the job involves

Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs
Update software or enhance existing software capabilities
Design, develop, debug, and operate distributed systems
Balance live-site management, feature delivery, and retirement of technical debt
Manage large, complex systems in the cloud
Resolve complex technical issues and drive innovations that improve system availability, resilience, and performance
Build reliable, self-healing services on unreliable hardware
Deliver thin slices of functionality on a regular cadence with data-driven feedback loops in an agile environment
Create, maintain and share technical documentation used by engineers and other team members
