Role
Who you are
- 2–4 years of relevant legal experience, either in a law firm or in-house, preferably in a SaaS or high-growth tech environment
- Experience with negotiating commercial agreements, including customer MSAs, DPAs, and an eagerness to develop further in this area
- In-dept knowledge of data protection, particularly GDPR, with the ability to apply it in a global context
- Experience supporting cross-border operations and working with international stakeholders
- A pragmatic, business-minded approach to legal work, able to balance risk and speed without compromising on compliance
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management, with the ability to translate legal into clear, actionable guidance
- Native Dutch speaker with full professional proficiency in English
What the job involves
- At DataSnipper, we’re transforming the way financial professionals work — and we’re looking for a sharp, curious Junior Legal Counsel to help us do it right
- You’ll be at the heart of our legal operations, drafting and negotiating cross-border contracts, shaping our approach to privacy and data protection, and keeping our legal house in order as we scale globally
- Support the review, drafting and negotiation of Software License Agreements, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), and vendor contracts across jurisdictions
- Assist with privacy compliance efforts, particularly around GDPR and global data protection requirements
- Provide timely, practical legal advice on a broad range of topics, including IT, commercial law, compliance, and corporate governance
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, ensuring templates, clause libraries, and contract records are accurate and up to date
- Collaborate with our Legal Counsel on legal projects and support ad-hoc matters as needed
Our take
With data having become a commodity in and of itself, infrastructure must be enforced so as to validate and contextualize it. Datasnipper does just that with its automated data validation platform for auditors.
Repetitive manual work in auditing means decreased efficiency and slower results. Auditors must reconcile data by cross-referencing it with that of older systems, verifying this data with documentation such as invoices, bank statements and previous contracts. Datasnipper’s platform uses intelligent automation that translates these documents directly into Excel spreadsheets, helping auditors make informed decisions at a faster rate.
Initially launched from Bootstrap, Datasnipper has successfully raised to Series B and has had a strong 2024. It doubled its revenue and customer base and reached Unicorn Status, indicating the auditing industry’s embrace of AI as a tool.
