Who you are
- You have 1+ years experience in an sales development, marketing, or growth role (direct outbound SDR experience preferred but not required)
- You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and comfort/experience communicating with corporate-level executives (VP, C-Level)
- You can understand complex technology and explain it in a relatable way
- You’re the most curious person you know, and you love to learn
- You have energy, ambition, and passion, and want to be part of a growing and successful team
- You are a self-starter and possess an innate sense of urgency
- You have demonstrated the ability to work independently, hold yourself accountable for results, and to drive issues to closure
What the job involves
- In this role, you’ll be the engine that powers the top of our sales funnel by prospecting and setting meetings with qualified accounts
- The SDR is often our customer’s first experience with Pocus, so we’re looking for someone who’s polished and makes a great first impression
- This is a phenomenal opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a well-funded startup and work alongside our founder and founding AE team to scale sales
- In this role, you’ll lay the foundation for Sales Development at Pocus. You’ll be sourcing accounts and prospects, researching them and doing cold outreach across multiple channels, all to set up qualified meetings
- This is a primarily outbound focused role. You will be - above all else - a Pocus expert, working in a dynamic start-up environment
- Consistently achieving and exceeding your monthly goal for generating new business opportunities to fuel the sales pipeline
- Becoming an expert in our product and use cases and in identifying accounts that fit our ICP
- Prospecting and mapping out complex enterprise-level organizations through research and sourcing
- Writing sequences for targeted segments within our Ideal Customer Profile
- Writing personalized outreach messages based on insights discovered through your research
- Confidently handling objections via cold calls and emails
- Using your creative skills to make inroads within target accounts through tactics like social selling
- Learning, leveraging, and helping evolve our outreach process to build an organized, repeatable, well-defined playbook for attacking the market
