Who you are

Previous experience in areas as Site Reliability Engineering, System Engineering and/or DevOps
Previous experience operating blockchain nodes is preferred
Experience with Kubernetes cluster administration and application deployment on Kubernetes
Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning and configurations tools like Terraform and Ansible
Experience with deployment and administration of Monitoring and Logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki and/or ELK stack
Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in one of the popular CI/CD. We use Github Actions and ArgoCD at Philabs
Familiarity with one or more of the following programming languages is preferred but not required: Go, python
Experience with a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, AZURE)
Relentlessly curious about the emerging technology of the web3 ecosystem
Clear communicator who enjoys solving real world problems, who can express complex ideas and envisage solutions
Thrives in a distributed environment, with the ability to strengthen and build relationships across the blockchain community
Independent yet collaborative leader who continuously loves to share knowledge but also loves to keep on learning themselves
Comfortable with rotating on-call duty and handling alerts

What the job involves

We are looking for a highly motivated SRE engineer who has experience operating blockchain infrastructure or is highly motivated to learn
This is a unique role for someone to come in and play an elemental role in building and owning critical blockchain infrastructure (APIs, Validators, Relayers) with focus on monitoring, and implementing strong SLAs
You will be responsible for operating the backbone of multiple decentralised networks

Our take

Decentralised app developers add immense value to the platforms they build on, but do not share enough in the network's success. Regardless of how many users their work brings into the blockchain, revenue mostly goes towards validators and miners. Phi Labs hopes to change this with Archway, a protocol that rewards developers fairly for the value they add to the blockchain.

Though there are other smart contracting platforms in the market, they have focused mainly on scalability and decentralisation. Phi Labs stands out with its focus on rewarding developers for the users they bring into the network rather than rewarding early participants. If the developer-first approach works, Phi Lab's Archway protocol stands to make a big splash in the $120B Cosmos ecosystem.

Phi Labs has secured early funding, led by notable investors CoinFund and Hashed. The capital raised is being strategically allocated towards product development, scaling up operational capacity, and talent acquisition, with the ambitious goal of more than doubling the size of the team. This infusion of resources is not only crucial for Phi Labs' immediate plans but also bodes well for the long-term trajectory and future success of the company.
