Role
Who you are
- Experience building mobile apps in Flutter and/or Reactive Native
- Experience with a modern backend framework
- (we’re building from scratch, so we’re open to different stacks)
- Experience architecting applications from scratch
- Able to tread the balance of moving fast and constantly releasing quick tests, with keeping the codebase in check and technical debt manageable
- Able to accurately factor in overall business needs when making technical/architectural decisions
- Comfortable seeing the truth and testing ideas and assumptions around products and concepts
- Ideally have worked in an early stage start up environment across multiple roles as the product evolved
- Happy having very high-level, strategic conversations and joining the dots alongside getting into the practical details of the projects
- Excited to work on all different kinds of projects, from ones where they’re experts, to ones where they’re figuring things out from first principles (and google)
- Creativity and logical thinking

What the job involves
- We are looking for a Software Engineer to be part of a new team that’s working to transform BLOK’s customer experience
- We’re changing our product to be completely hybrid, creating an exceptional, integrated customer experience across both in-person and digital classes
- We’re going to build a hyper-engaging app to be at the core of the experience, but this is more than just a software/product team
- We’ll have the ability to run tests across the whole business, so we can make BLOK the best that it can be
