Role
Who you are
- 2–4 years of experience building and shipping production-level frontend applications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with React or similar frameworks
- A product mindset. You think in terms of user experience and business value, not just code
- A strong eye for UI detail and interest in creating polished, accessible user interfaces
- Comfort working across the stack and collaborating closely with cross-functional teammates
- A bias toward action, curiosity, and continuous improvement

- We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing team of product-minded engineers
- This role sits at the heart of how we build intuitive, powerful tools for startup founders
- Tools that help them manage their equity, understand their business, and make critical decisions faster
- You’ll work closely with designers, PMs, and fellow engineers to bring polished, performant experiences to life
- At Pulley, our frontend engineers don’t just build UI, they influence product direction, own the end-to-end experience, and help shape the future of startup tooling in an AI-native world
- You’ll get to work on high-impact features that are both foundational to our platform and visible to thousands of founders scaling the next generation of companies
- Build and own rich, interactive product features across our web platform, from concept to deployment
- Partner closely with design and product to shape user experiences with empathy and craft
- Collaborate with backend and AI engineers to deliver seamless, performant integrations
- Contribute to our evolving frontend architecture using React, TypeScript, and modern tooling
- Improve product quality and team velocity by writing clean, testable code and participating in code reviews
- Help define team best practices and contribute to shared components, patterns, and infrastructure
Our take
Due to startups raising funding in multiple stages, calculating the ownership breakdown as the business evolves can be difficult. Pulley hopes to make that process less opaque with cap-table management and scenario-modelling tools that provide founders with employee and investor equity information.
The platform enables startups to model dilution in future rounds, helps employees understand the value of their equity as the company grows, and makes maintaining equity plans faster and easier.
Based on the costs to manage cap tables and the potential opportunity lost due to companies staying private for longer periods, the market Pulley operates in is worth up to $10 billion. Competition comes from Carta and Morgan Stanley's Shareworks.
