Our take
Existing energy providers are often expensive and inefficient. Tesseract is setting out to challenge this and was founded with a single objective: to solve climate change.
The company's energy is ten times cheaper and more efficient than competitors, whilst being 100% renewable. This ultimately makes renewable energy more accessible and prevents “big energy” from having a monopoly.
The company is backed by experienced founders, Alan Chang and Charles Orr. Both early Revolut employees that helped take Revolut from a small start-up to $33B in 6 years, scaling it into a global fintech success.
Now Tesseract is going to do the same thing in another industry, by scaling cheap renewable power and building a trillion-dollar energy business. By finding such a unique approach to renewable energy, there is considerable opportunity for them to capitalise on in the market.
