Role
Who you are
- 5+ years DevOps tool expertise and industry best practices. Regulatory background preferred (FedRAMP, DoD, HIPAA)
- 2+ years of SIEM experience, with additional regulatory exposure being beneficial. Compulsory expertise in Kubernetes and infrastructure security
- Experience with security technologies/products including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners, as well as in Kubernetes and infrastructure security
- Preferred familiarity with HashiCorp Vault
- Implementation of Identity and Access Management systems, along with a preferred level of familiarity with HashiCorp Vault
- Practical experience in Linux fundamentals, system administration, package management, adeptness with security tools, and hands-on TCP/IP networking expertise
- Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CKS, CEH, GIAC) a plus
What the job involves
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from various sources using Splunk as a SIEM
- Investigate security incidents and provide recommendations for remediation
- Manage, maintain and develop security policies and procedures across our infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters
- Collaborate with other security professionals and DevOps engineers to develop and implement security strategies and best practices
- Maintain and enhance our SIEM platform to improve its effectiveness and efficiency
- Perform periodic security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations
- Provide security training and awareness to employees and other stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and trends
