Role
Who you are
- Exposure to cloud-based infrastructure deployment, systems administration, support, and maintenance
- Working knowledge with one or more scripting languages (e.g. Python or Bash)
- Experience in administering Linux or Unix environments
- Familiar with containerizing and running processes using Docker or docker-compose
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, alerting practices
- Experience in creating CI/CD pipelines and managing release and deployment processes
Desirable
- Familiarity with best practices in:
- Cybersecurity
- Micro-services
- SRE (e.g. postmortems, incident management, toil reduction, etc.)
- SOC compliance
- Software development background
- Experience working in a fast-paced, growing startup
What the job involves
- Vestwell's Technology team is seeking a DevOps Engineer to contribute to the vision and execution of projects related to Infrastructure, Security, Automation, and Site Reliability
- We aim to follow Agile best practices with a focus on empowering full stack development teams to be self-sufficient on owning their vertical slice of the product and support them in making decisions to execute on their roadmaps built from business requirements
