Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in technical product marketing, product management, sales engineering, developer relations, or a related role
- Background in security or developer tools is preferred
- Strong understanding of security tools, developer workflows, and developer ecosystems
- Proven ability to create technical content and translate complex research into accessible, impactful deliverables
- Exceptional ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and security research teams to ensure alignment and collaboration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for distilling technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging
- Data-driven approach to measuring success, optimizing marketing strategies, and improving engagement
What the job involves
- We are seeking a skilled and passionate Technical Product Marketing Manager to amplify the success of TruffleHog. In this role, you’ll drive product adoption, market growth, and customer engagement by crafting compelling narratives, creating impactful technical content, and supporting our go-to-market strategies
- You’ll collaborate closely with marketing, sales, engineering, and security research teams to transform complex technical insights into accessible, engaging content that resonates with developers and security professionals alike. Your contributions will help solidify Truffle Security’s position as a trusted leader in the security space
- Translate TruffleHog’s technical details into clear, compelling messaging
- Create a variety of technical content—including blog posts, whitepapers, webinars, video tutorials, and presentations—that speaks directly to developers and security practitioners
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure all content is technically accurate, relevant, and engaging
- Drive product updates and feature launches, coordinating efforts across product, marketing, sales, and engineering teams to ensure seamless execution
- Identify the best channels to reach target audiences and ensure product messaging aligns with market needs
- Support product launch activities and assist with trade shows, conferences, and technical sales training to maximize visibility and customer engagement
- Gather insights, use cases, and testimonials to refine messaging and highlight real-world value
- Build and nurture relationships with customers, partners, and industry influencers to foster advocacy and brand loyalty
- Analyze industry trends, customer pain points, and competitor offerings to refine product positioning and differentiation to drive TruffleHog forward
- Identify emerging market opportunities and contribute to strategic marketing initiatives
- Partner with the sales team to develop resources such as product demos, training materials, and sales collateral to effectively communicate TruffleHog’s unique value proposition
Our take
Data breaches can be detrimental to companies, particularly when they regard the leaking of sensitive data such as private keys and login credentials. However, such breaches are common and can be difficult to identify due to the vast range of platforms and SaaS that modern businesses use, often resulting in leaks only being identified when it's too late to prevent.
Truffle Security provides a software tool named TruffleHog that identifies and remediates sensitive information that has leaked within a business's digital infrastructure, running scans automatically to catch vulnerable data before it leaks. The software integrates within major SaaS platforms such as Slack, AWS, Gmail, and Github, also offering bespoke integration services for unique business infrastructures.
Whilst many cybersecurity platforms can identify the source of data leaks early to minimize their impact, Truffle Security has recognized that this is often too little too late. By constantly scanning business environments behind the scenes, the company shows great potential to disrupt the data protection market by completely preventing data leaks and thus removing the need for recovery specialists.
