Who you are

At least 6 years of experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or managerial position
Proven experience in managing the complete engineering and delivery lifecycle of a product, with strong customer empathy and the ability to balance product direction with engineering best practices
Experience with complexities of developing large, distributed systems, and operating production platforms
Excellent communication skills, enabling close collaboration with both internal and external partners on a wide range of technical and business topics
Demonstrated servant leadership with a natural talent for inspiring and motivating others
Capability to work effectively in a globally-distributed team with a strong sense of ownership
Experience in coordinating technical stakeholders and making informed product decisions
Experience in the blockchain/DeFi/Web3 space

Lead a team of seasoned engineers in developing a versatile modular platform for Chainlink
Work closely with the product team to outline and plan feature roadmaps and their execution
Uphold high standards within the team and mentor engineers in their professional development
Engage in the hiring and onboarding process to ensure we recruit top-quality engineers who align with our culture and needs
Take initiative to improve the broader engineering organization and processes that influence your team's ability to execute

Smart contracts are the future of transparent, fair, and efficient digital dealings across industries as diverse as lending, real estate, and international trade. Historically, the application of smart contracts was limited to on-chain data, but oracle mechanisms like Chainlink Labs can be used to import off-chain data (like those required for the broader application of smart contracts) onto the chain.

Chainlink Labs' work has marked a significant step forward in the progress of blockchain technologies - and has proven a remarkable success story for the company. It is responsible for the largest global decentralized oracle network in the world, used by hundreds of projects spanning online gaming and cryptocurrency. It has also received its fair share of critique - but blockchain technology at large remains a work in progress, and Chainlink has been quick to develop solutions.

All in all, the benefits of Chainlink’s work look set to become even more pronounced, as smart contracts become more applied across the globe. In late 2022, the company launched the staking of its native token LINK to increase the security of the protocol and enable the Chainlink system to grow. Building on that, it has recently introduced a new community rewards program for LINK stakers, further encouraging participants while also strengthening its network through active community involvement.
