Role
Who you are
- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure and automation
- Proficiency in Python programming, with hands-on experience in developing and maintaining Python-based applications
- In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its various services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway and IAM
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

- As a Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that underpins our products and services. - Optimize and automate our CI/CD pipeline, enabling efficient and reliable delivery of software updates and releases
- Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and availability of our cloud infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, deployment, and performance in a timely manner
- Implement best practices for security, cost optimization, and resource utilization on AWS
- Contribute to the design and implementation of continuous integration and continuous deployment processes for various projects
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with the cloud infrastructure

Our take
Targeting the staggeringly big home insurance market, Luko delivers a range of insurance options, that leverage smart home devices to help transform home insurance from a reactive model to a proactive, preventative one.
One of the most interesting things about Luko is its "Giveback" policy, that was designed to combat the conflict of interest found in traditional insurance - where the less the policyholder is reimbursed, the more the insurer makes. Luko instead employs a transparent model that directs 30% of contributions to the company, 70% to a pool from which claims are paid, and any money left over at the end of the year is donated to an association chosen by the customer.
The company's ultimate aim is to offer a fully-integrated home care platform, that will encompass comprehensive coverage, prevention, maintenance, and repair. After a tumultuous year for its holding company, Luko agreed to an acquisition by Germany-based Allianz in 2024, which will strengthen the latter's position in France and maintain the core assets of Luko's business, whilst saving jobs and market share.
