What the job involves
- Density is looking for another Founding Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our early go-to-market team
- This is a rare opportunity to get in at the ground level of a category-defining company and play a pivotal role in shaping how we grow
- As our Founding BDR, you'll work directly with our CEO and founding team to open new doors, build relationships with some of the world’s most forward-thinking companies, and help shape the future of workplace analytics
- You won’t just be handed a playbook – you’ll help write it
- This role is perfect for someone who’s hungry to learn, energized by big challenges, and excited to grow with a company that’s solving meaningful, real-world problems
- Work directly with our CEO and sales leadership to shape and refine outbound sales strategies
- Generate leads and business opportunities through cold outreach, social, creative campaigns, and whatever else you think will work
- Be the first touchpoint for companies ranging from high-growth startups to Fortune 500s
- Qualify leads and tee up strategic conversations for the founding sales team
- Get hands-on experience in product, messaging, positioning, and the art of building early GTM motion
- Help create sales materials, iterate on messaging, and contribute to the foundation of our sales ops
- Share feedback with product and engineering based on your frontline conversations
- Learn fast, fail forward, and grow into future roles as the company scales
Our take
Density is a planning application, which holds a vast amount of data on the technical infrastructure of cities, buildings, and spaces. This makes it easier to plan workspaces and manage operating expenses, and in the process potentially saves companies billions of dollars on real estate costs.
The business uses sophisticated technology to calculate the occupancy of entire buildings and floors, and that enables businesses to adapt their operation in the most efficient and flexible way possible. This offers huge value to many companies, particularly considering the excessive costs associated with urban real estate and office space.
Density is not the only solution on the market, with Cisco Meraki, Purple, SpotOn Wifi and Local Measure also attempting to deliver office space solutions. But the algorithms included in Density have been praised, with the software particularly intuitive and user-friendly, and superior insights being delivered by its sophisticated package. To bolster this success, the company has acquired several small businesses recently, with the intention of better enabling hybrid workplaces.
