Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or closely related field or foreign equivalent plus 2 years’ experience in Analytics, Management Consulting, Finance, or Strategic Operations, or closely related position
- Advanced analytical skills with experience in working with large datasets
- Experience in programming languages, including Python, SQL, and R
- Experience in creating visualization dashboards
- Identify and drive revenue initiatives and optimizations
What the job involves
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Platform-wide analytics to confirm the product is working as expected (loading of images buttons, load times, etc.)
- Working with Data Engineering and Product to ensure proper analytics tracking is set up (ideally before launch) for all new features/products and supporting in development of ETLs
- Work closely with RevOps as technical resource to build data platform to determine sales comp planning (and payouts) and assist in writing up basic scripts or financial models as needed
- Manage tests for specific merchants and generate data to build out case studies and GTM messaging strategies
- Drive portfolio-wide revenue optimization and communication to merchants on personalized optimization based on testing across our platform
- Work with our Risk & Insurance team to build deep-dive analytics and machine learning models to better forecast risk across our portfolio
- Create platform analytics to confirm product operation is as expected and develop new processes to optimize warrant mapping operations, plan pricing, and merchant attach rates
- Perform exploratory data analysis to assemble metrics and KPIs to assess and gauge activity across the Extend platform, and support teams throughout Extend by delivering analyses and process improvements to help the business continue to scale
- Support business operations, finance, revenue operations, and other internal teams by building analytics and reporting to understand overall business performance and increase organizational efficiencies
Our take
Extend allows online and offline merchants to offer product warranties and protection plans at the point of sale. It aims to provide a comprehensive and centralized warranty system where before there was not one. The company also provides customers themselves with a fast support experience, where 95% of claims are resolved in just 90 seconds.
Its API based platform is integrated into the likes of Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and BigCommerce, and can also be integrated into private client-owned e-commerce platforms. This ease of use is what makes Extend so appealing for clients.
On top of this, its seen good funding thats fuelled business growth and geographical expansion. It’s interesting to note that PayPal Ventures and SoftBank are two of their main backers, as this indicates that payment giants see the value of these point of sale transactions. And in 2022, it was named a certified partner of Shopify and reached an important milestone in becoming a full-service company, taking it one step closer to its vision of becoming the "AppleCare for everything".
