Who you are

Bachelor's in computer science or Non-traditional Computer Science majors such as bootcamp grads, and self-taught
1-3 years of relevant experience
Experience developing Full Stack web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
Proficiency with front-end frameworks, we use React, Redux, and NextJS
Proficiency with back-end frameworks, we use Ruby on Rails
Familiarity working with both SQL and NoSQL databases, we use a combination of PostgreSQL and MongoDB
Familiarity with API design patterns (GraphQL, REST)
Able to work with project deadlines and deliver effective results and updates
Comfortable working in collaboration with other developers and stakeholders (Product Manager, Product Designer and cross-team collaborations)
Have a knack for building beautiful and clean User Interfaces according to design specs (layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility) using design systems

What the job involves

Be at the forefront of driving traffic through innovative content types, optimizing search discoverability, and streamlining user sign-up processes, contributing significantly to Codecademy's growth and success
Own product architecture and collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to set the technical direction and create software that optimizes for business metrics
Communicate technology and product strategy effectively to both internal and external stakeholders and leadership
Conduct design and code reviews to ensure scalability, performance, and alignment with standards and best practices
Can work on variety of projects depending on the team needs which can be mostly Front-end or Back-end or a mix of both
