This role is for a People Business Partner who believes that strong culture and strong performance go hand in hand - and that neither happens by accident
7+ years of experience in People roles, with 4+ years as a People Business Partner
Experience supporting leaders in scaleup / high-growth SaaS environments
Familiarity with international employment laws and compliance
A track record of working with globally distributed teams across cultures and time zones
Hands-on experience across org design, performance management, employee relations, and compensation
The ability to be empathetic without avoiding difficult conversations

What the job involves

You’ll partner closely with functional leaders, managers and their teams by showing up with empathy, clarity, and sound judgment
We’re a fast-growing, globally distributed team, which means change is constant. This role is about helping leaders do the right thing and supporting employees through growth
Be a trusted thought partner to managers, helping them lead effectively through growth, ambiguity, and change
Lead organizational design to ensure teams are structured to scale, roles are clear, and talent is aligned to business priorities
Ensure People practices remain compliant across all regions we operate in
Own performance management cycles end to end, including feedback cycles, promotions, role changes, and compensation discussions
Use People data, context, and patterns to guide better people decisions
Be an empathetic and steady point of contact for employee relations matters, handling sensitive people matters with care and discretion
Coach team navigate through performance concerns and conflicts
Partner with PeopleOps team to design and deliver practical learning initiatives based on business needs

Our take

Identity and payment fraud is one of the biggest dangers facing online businesses. Sardine is setting out to solve this problem by building the first zero-day fraud prevention technology.

Sardine's technology traces intrinsic behaviour patterns to identify so-called "bad actors" online, and detects fraudsters using machine-learned fraud scores and user behavior biometrics.

The company calls itself the world's first FaaS (Fraud Detection as a Service), and its solutions are already drawing business from next-gen crypto and financial service institutions. Onboarding these institutions and scaling its customer base at pace will ensure that Sardine maintains its frontrunner position.
