5+ years of experience in front-end software development with a demonstrated commitment to delivering an exceptional user experience
5+ years of experience with Javascript and/or Typescript
3+ years of experience with React + Redux
3+ years of experience with HTML + CSS

1+ years of experience with CI/CD and Github Actions

Experience with UI performance optimization is a plus

We are seeking a Senior Front End Engineer who will serve as a lead engineer for a cross-functional team building transformative AI agents for HR & Finance
This role is critical in defining the tooling strategy, staying ahead of industry trends, and ensuring our AI-driven solutions seamlessly integrate deeply within the Workday stack
You'll be instrumental in shaping the user experience and developer productivity for our next generation of AI-powered features
This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your deep front-end expertise to build impactful, scalable solutions that redefine how businesses operate
Own new and existing UI features in our React application, from technical design to release, from inception to production
Own the developer experience of Frontend development via continuous improvements to our UI infrastructure and tooling
Own the frontend build pipeline and make it more robust and efficient
Write high-quality, easy-to-maintain-and-extend code with plenty of tests and built-in observability
Work as part of an Agile team in a collaborative environment where you regularly plan and implement tasks to scale and expand our rapidly growing enterprise-grade SaaS product
Have a major impact on the professional growth and productivity levels of your teammates through design and code reviews, technical guidance, and mentoring

Workday is a cloud-based software vendor that provides management of workforces and finances. The company uses a single database for workforce management and financial management to offer integration and optimize business intelligence across companies. It has added to the packages and tools it offers over the years, providing analytic options that allow companies to combine third-party data with information collected by Workday.

Workday has acquired and paired up with many other companies to keep expanding its offering. In 2021, it purchased the employee feedback platform Peakon in response to the growing need for managers to be able to survey workers and collect satisfaction data without face-to-face meetings. The company has also bought and developed many financial tools and HR management tools.

The company’s goal is to provide end-to-end back office services and while there are other providers, such as UKG Pro and Ceridian HCM, Workday’s broad offering helps them to stand out. Though it faced a tough global market in 2023 and has shed some of its headcount, Workday has seen a 6.5% gain in value in the first quarter of 2024. It is now focusing on growth and developing the AI capabilities of its platform. .
