What the job involves
- Develop and execute an effective PR and communications strategy, in line with our product roadmap and overall commercial objectives
- Deliver regular, top tier coverage through proactive storytelling, driving awareness of the brand amongst key audiences
- Lead external communications for the launch of new products and services, ensuring all coverage is consistent and on-message
- Run the press office, taking an agile approach when relevant opportunities arise and responding to reactive enquiries
- Own the creation of all press assets including releases, briefing documents, boilerplates, media packs etc
- Think creatively about new ways to spread the word about Moneybox, from traditional media to more innovative opportunities - we believe PR can come in many forms!
- Measure the impact of coverage / press activity across core KPIs and provide regular, structured commentary to the wider team
- Effectively co-ordinate with relevant stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure consistent messaging
- Plan and manage a calendar of external events and speaking opportunities to increase the profile of the company and key members of the team
- Co-ordinate participation in relevant industry awards / programmes as part of wider company profiling
- Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and influencers

Moneybox followed in the wake of a whole new generation of digital finance apps, differentiating itself with a range of investment and saving features that Monzo and Revolut wouldn't develop for years to come.
Their marketing targets an untapped demographic of younger people who feel disillusioned with the jargon and complexity of traditional wealth management. With Junior ISAs and a £1 minimum investment, their services are certainly more accessible than the investment banks.
Nowadays, Moneybox is breaking ground again by offering Socially Responsible Investment options. They've partnered with Old Mutual to offer portfolios based on ESG indexes, capturing the attention of progressive first-time investors.
The future looks bright: Series D funding awarded in 2022 will be used to build Moneybox's brand and grow its customer base. It is also releasing a new investing plan for its customers which focuses on long-term wealth generation.
