Role
Who you are
- At Least 1 year of software development experience
- Experience in at least one frontend and backend framework/language
- Experience with testing practices and frameworks
- API design and implementation knowledge
- Database design and migrations knowledge
- Infrastructure, security, and SRE experience or exposure a plus
- The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building end to end technology solutions through pragmatic means
- You are comfortable navigating a codebase starting at the UX layer, understanding how it interacts with the API layer and the data model used for persistence in the DB layer
- You are able to identify patterns and antipatterns in a codebase and utilize those effectively to build out new product features
- You are able to identify risks and unknowns with proposed tools and technologies and elevate them to have meaningful decisions with the engineering, Product and Design teams with the goal of solving problems in the most efficient manner possible
What the job involves
- The Software Engineer I will work directly with and learn from Resilia’s Product and Engineering leadership
- You will be responsible for contributing to high impact product feature launches on our platform while leveraging our cutting-edge tech stack
- Cross-team collaboration is the backbone of our success at Resilia. The Software Engineer will work closely with the Product and Design teams to understand the core problems faced by our nonprofit users and help inform our long and short term strategy to solve these problems
- You would bring a collaborative approach to problem solving, pairing actively with the rest of the Engineering team on complex technical challenges including but not limited to architecture design, vendor software evaluation and infrastructure improvements
- This role has a direct impact on our nonprofit users, enabling them to utilize the true power of Resilia’s platform in a seamless manner and at the same time, playing a key role in helping nonprofits strengthen their operations, scale their impact, and communicate their work to their supporters and communities
- Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be an early and crucial contributor to Resilia’s growing Engineering team

Working closely with non-profits, Resilia is a subscription platform and one-to-one coaching service that helps enhance creativity, workflow, and efficiency for selected organisations across the USA. The companies that are a part of Resilia’s network are given access to online training, fundraising, marketing, and strategic planning templates as well as a suite of digital tools that can help them grow their companies.
On the other side of the lens, Resilia also provides investors and backers with access to their client list, further aiding the growth of non-profits. Resilia has proved itself to be a much-needed gap bridger and ever more important tool for the US charity and aid sector, especially in highlighting the need for more investment in start-ups outside of New York and California.
