Who you are

- You must be comfortable juggling multiple projects at the same time. Working in one startup is stressful, working across 10 or more is not for everyone. Donât apply if that doesnât sound appealing
- Enthusiastic to rip up the rule book and challenge the status quo. We donât want more of the same, and nor should you
- Passionate about all areas of a start-up life. Whilst finance will be your primary function, our ideal candidates will have interest and experience in an area like operations, sales or marketing. Weâre looking for candidates who have the potential to go on to lead Quantico as a business so skills outside of finance are essential
- Youâve managed a finance function in a rapidly growing business
- You have experience juggling multiple clients, projects or stakeholders at the same time
- You've led teams from diverse backgrounds to complete projects under intense time pressure
- Youâre experienced working with founders and functional teams from across a business. You havenât only worked with and for colleagues in finance
- Youâll have some experience at Finance Director or CFO level, or youâll be ready to step into your first role at this level
- Youâre comfortable working across a range of finance systems like Xero, Dext etc. Youâre not intimidated by learning about unfamiliar tools and systems quickly and under pressure
What the job involves
- Lead the finance teams in the startups we support, either for consulting projects or long term partnerships
- Review, improve and implement systems and processes covering everything from Xero to Netsuite
- Ensure that the finance function is effectively supporting the rest of the business, via sharing data or supporting other operational teams
- Manage the relationship between Quantico and our partners: Ensure that they have realistic expectations of what our FinOps Managers and FinOps Associates can get done in a given time frame
- Work with founders to understand the future plans for their business, ensuring that weâve got the right finance team booked in before theyâre needed

With RORA, companies get access to FinOps experts for exactly the time that they need them. The company has FinOps Leads with the expertise to work across multiple businesses & problems, FinOps Managers who architect complex financial processes, and FinOps Associates who ensure everything runs efficiently.
With this offering, RORA is filling a considerable gap in the market. Small companies are generally not able to hire a full finance team with a mix of skill sets, but are also not able to outsource effectively (external accountants are great at certain duties, but they are not set up to get under the skin of a business).
