Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate is analytical, self-driven, collaborative, and highly strategic
- 7+ years of experience in consulting, corporate strategy, FP&A, revenue operations, strategic finance, or a high-growth startup
- 2+ years managing teams, including experience building and maintaining team roadmaps
- Advanced Excel + SQL proficiency
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, PBI)
- Strong ability to model capacity, forecast performance, and quantify impact
- Quick, adaptive learner with strong operational acumen and a bias for action
- Applies design thinking, structured problem-solving, and data-driven frameworks to create scalable systems and processes
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple priorities
- Experienced in process design and documentation best practices; Lean Six Sigma familiarity a plus

What the job involves
- As the Director of Strategy & Planning, you will report to the Senior Director of Content Operations Strategy & Enablement (COSE) and lead the Strategy & Planning team (Senior Manager + Associate)
- You will manage the operational strategy and planning for our Expert Call Services, Generated Content, and Compliance Operations teams
- You will also collaborate with our GTM teams on annual planning related to our call services business
- You will own the Expert Insights Operating Model, build and maintain capacity models, support data-driven decision-making, and run key planning cycles
- You will be a strategic partner to Operations Leadership, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and cross-functional execution across Operations, GTM, Enablement, Ops Systems, Product, and Finance
- This role is instrumental in driving productivity, efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement across a growing, customer-facing organization
- Maintain and build the annual plan, including departmental output goals, operational targets, and staffing levels
- Own quarterly forecasting and goaling processes
- Monitor capacity and utilization to determine staffing needs and optimize resourcing
- Lead go-to-market planning with Revenue Operations and FP&A
- Ensure teams operate at target staffing levels through capacity monitoring and strategic course correction
- Own the account segmentation framework
- Lead account balancing and territory planning initiatives
- Support goal-setting across all roles and teams
- Evaluate and calibrate KPIs to drive desired business outcomes
- Design and administer role-based incentive plans
- Work with department leaders to establish and maintain OKRs
- Build and maintain departmental reporting suite to understand performance to goal and quickly identify root causes of under of overperformance

It helps that its tools are undoubtedly effective and valued by knowledge professionals: the company counts about 85% of the S&P 100 as customers and is trusted by J.P.Morgan, Microsoft, Credit Suisse and Google, among other major enterprises.
Having raised a large amount of funding over 2022 and 2023, AlphaSense has moved quickly to double down on its expansion in European markets, opening an office in Berlin to support this. With 2024 seeing investment from Singaporean EDBI, it has now set its sights on the Asia-Pacific region. As business intelligence will remain key for enterprises as they compete for market share, AlphaSense is well-placed for additional future growth.
