Senior Software Engineer, Lattice

• You have 5+ years of professional experience writing and maintaining production-level applications
• You have experience working with modern programming languages such as TypeScript, React and GraphQL and are passionate about learning and using new technologies for your role
• You are efficient in SQL and know how to model data and write performant queries in a relational database like PostgreSQL
• You know the ins and outs of maintaining and scaling an application actively serving customers in production
• You are able to seek out the root cause when debugging software defects and champion improvements that prevent future issues
• You’re clear and concise in explaining your thought process and in enumerating the tradeoffs made in your work
• You love mentoring and supporting other software engineers who are newer to the industry

• The HRIS Integrations team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integrations between our core platform and various third-party systems and APIs
• As we prepare for the wider launch of Lattice HRIS, integrations play a critical role in our overall business strategy. By seamlessly connecting our platform with a wide range of third-party systems and services, we provide more value for our customers, allowing them to leverage our solution within their existing technology ecosystem
• You'll be at the forefront of expanding our platform's capabilities and improving our product experience
• You’ll be responsible for building software to help companies build cultures in which their employees thrive
• Partner with other engineers to build and own products across a modern tech stack. Our current stack includes Temporal, PostgreSQL, Node, GraphQL, React, and Relay. We rely on AWS to host our infrastructure
• Develop and maintain robust and customizable integration solutions for various external software vendors, ensuring seamless interoperability and data flow
• Own the execution of complex projects, including those that require cross-functional collaboration with product managers and designers
• Provide substantial mentorship to less experienced colleagues, helping to refine their technical craft and expand their knowledge
• Make contributions to our engineering practices, identifying and evangelizing improvements to improve our team output
